design notes

This reader compiles texts written by Marlene Dumas in the period from 1982 to 1997.

The book presents a variety of texts, from poetry to slogans, from essays to literary texts in a chronological order. Images are only used as a brief introduction to the visual work of the artist. The typography reflects the characteristics of the texts in a subtle way. The choice of paper makes the texts almost tactile. It invites the reader to treat it like a pocket book and pick it up again and again.
